The Famous Desert Rats are well known for their exploits in North Africa. This highly decorated unit fought with distinction in North Africa, Italy, and Northwest Europe. 7th landed in Normandy at Gold Beach on D-Day 06 June 1944, fought fierce battles throughout the Northwest Europe Campaign.
